Cybercops Data-Bit

Power Rangers Hybrid

The actual name of this line (or lines) is unknown. It was first brought to my attention by Lars Groeneveld who found a loose example of the Blue Ranger figure on eBay in 2019.

In January 2021, Nathan Souza from Brazil provided some additional information about this line. He received a Yellow Ranger gift set for Christmas in the 1990's which included the figure, a color-coordinated Blade Liner, Mars-Bit's weapon and Jupiter-Bit's weapon. He also saw a blue Red Ranger version in the same store that his came from shortly after receiving his.

Not surprisingly, there are no visible copyrights or manufacturer's marks.

It is made up of a slightly scaled down version of the 1993-era Mighty Morphing Power Rangers Blue Ranger head and torso with chrome gold Mars-Bit limbs with white accent pieces. Lars discovered the scale change with an original Bandai 8" Power Rangers gun which does not fit into the holster of this figure.

Here it is with an official Green Ranger figure.

Yellow Ranger

Nathan Souza has shared photos that show a very similar figure which may be from the same line. The main difference between the two is that the yellow version has simplified feet. Also note that this figure has the Jupiter-Bit limbs.

The most exciting part of Nathan's discovery is the color-coordinated Blade Liner! He confirms that it is a "perfect bootleg" of the original with working turbos and mini-guns.

Blue Ranger Type Two

Nathan not only remembers seeing this Mars-Bit/Red Ranger figure in the same store that his Yellow Ranger came from, but he also directed me to an example of it on Instagram. It's part of @givemebackmychildhoodtoys's Power Rangers Knockoffs collection. From what I can see, it's very similar to the Lars' figure just with the Red Ranger head and blue limbs. Unfortunately @givemebackmychildhoodtoys didn't have any other information about the figure and, sadly, it apparently no longer has a left arm.

Photo One: In the upper right-hand corner beside the Power Bots Steely Blu - you can just see the points of the figure's Cybercops shoulders and part of it's left foot:
