Power Rangers Hybrids
At this time I believe that there are at least three distinct lines using the same basic figures, much like Trendmasters' Power Robot/Power Bots/Metal Robot.
These lines were first brought to my attention by Lars Groeneveld who found a loose example of a Blue Ranger figure with golden limbs on eBay in 2019. This figure is most likely part of the Space Robot line that I tracked down in late 2021.
In January 2021, Nathan Souza from Brazil shared photos of a yellow version of the figure that came with a color-coordinated Blade Liner, part of a partially-identified line that I'm calling Power Rangers Hybrid with "Car".
Ninja Dragon War Team (formerly All-Blue Ranger)
In October of 2024, Daniel Gotham - a Power Rangers collector - purchased a >complete figure almost identical to what I had been referring to as All-Blue Ranger from of Carousell in Malaysia.
He has not received his figure yet but there are several things that can be gleaned from the sale listing. The biggest of which is the name of the line, 忍龙战队 which translates roughly to Ninja Dragon War Team.
Although there is one detail that may indicate that this is, in fact, a fourth Power Rangers hybrid line, I'm going to keep the two together for now. When the photos arrive, you will notice that the gun and holster on Daniel's figure are black rather than the white we've seen on previous figures. The photos on the box show the white holster so this could be a running change or simply lack of attention to detail.
The next revelation is that there were six figures in the line. It looks like half of them have the Mars-Bit shoulders like the blue figure and the rest borrow Jupiter-Bit's shoulders.
There is also a block of text listing the package contents: instructions, pistol and stand.
I'll be creating a dedicated Ninja Dragon page once Daniel's photos arrive!
In January 2021, Nathan Souza also directed me to an Instagram post by @givemebackmychildhoodtoys with a figure similar to his own.
This figure is part of @givemebackmychildhoodtoys's Power Rangers Knockoffs collection and is distinguishable from the two identified lines by the color-coordinated limbs.
@givemebackmychildhoodtoys found the figure at a Baltimore, MD flea market in late 2013-early 2014. Sadly, it does not have a right hand.
In July of 2024, Blue Ranger collector RangerBlue96 reached out with detailed photos of a complete blue hybrid ranger. To fill the holster, RangerBlue96 has added a custom Power Rangers pistol.
